As a mom of two small children, ages 2 and 5, my days are pretty busy. I'm not only a mom who stays at home but also one who blogs too. Maintaining my review blog and writing for a gossip site daily is a balancing act. Everyday I make it a point to take the kids out somewhere, even if it is minus twenty degrees outside! Even on the days when my son is in preschool, my toddler is a handful and begs to go outside. Now how do I find me time? I've learned to be organized.
First thing I do when I wake up is have breakfast and do some blogging work. Then, at around 9 to 10am, I take them out somewhere. I prefer the morning time because by the time we get home they'll be hungry enough to eat lunch. Activities include story time, going to gymnastics, a playground or grocery store.
I have made a list of the things I do and tips to new Stay-at-home-moms who may want some ideas on how to still have time to yourself while being a productive parent.
1. Pick a class where you can drop your kid off and go.
Sometimes if I want alone time for one to two hours, I leave them at a drop in daycare and then go to the nearby coffee shop.
2. Invite your child's friend over. They keep themselves busy that way. Also, see if you can swap with a friend to drop each other kids at each other's houses. No more "Mommy, can you play with me?" They're having fun and you can do cleaning or watch TV.
3. Get your significant other to help when they get home from work.
When my spouse comes home, l let him take care of them for an hour. I either go to another room or go out by myself.
4. Join a gym that has daycare
5. When they eat lunch, walk away and take a ten minute breather. When my 2-year-old is munching, I do the laundry, read a magazine, or give myself a facial.

I hope these will be a little helpful. It's little things throughout the day that keep a parent sane!
