Halloween Costume Picks Of The Day

Photobucket
When I saw this Vegetarian Noodle Bowl costume it made me laugh. I actually think it's kind of cute. Perfect for tots who are growing up in Vegan families.

This year my 2-year-old will be a pink kitty and my son will wear his fireman costume for the second year in a row. For me...I'm thinking of going (thanks MTV!) as Katy Perry in the California Gurls video. The only gear I'll need are two Reddi Wip cans.

Can't Wait To Go Back To New Zealand Again

Sponsored By

Cheerios® is giving you the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, your ultimate family vacation. As part of a paid promotion for their “Do What You Love” Sweepstakes, Cheerios® is sponsoring my post today about what my ultimate family vacation would be. Read mine and Enter the Sweepstakes for a chance to actually win your own fantasy family trip or one of a bunch of other great prizes.

Before my husband and I got married we took an amazing three month trip to Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Samoa. We had no kids to take care of, no worries. I had just moved to London from New York City in 2001 when my boyfriend decided that we take a trip of a lifetime. He was right. It was a memorable time of seeing the other half of the world. My favorite country was New Zealand. Friendly kiwis, sophisticated food, and beautiful scenery.

We only traveled around the north island because it was heading into wintertime and the south part was experiencing blizzards. So taking the trip back to Australia, we vowed we would go back to New Zealand one day.

Now that we have a family, we can one day go back and share that country with our 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. I would like to take them when they're older, since they'll appreciate it a lot more. We would go fly to Auckland first, my favorite city there. Since it's a walking city, I would take them to the Orbit Rotating Restaurant where their dad and I had a fun meal and when I went to the bathroom, came out and lost where our table was.

We would have breakfast everyday on Parnell St. and eat yogurt with granola topped with fruit, the same meal we had every morning.

Then after Auckland we would go to Wellington, my second favorite city. We would ride in the cable car and walk around the botanical gardens. We'd eat dinner at Zest, a restaurant in the hip, young trendy area and stay at the hotel with the cool suites nearby.

And finally, for a dip in the mineral pools we'd go to the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua. This place is so relaxing. Sit in each little pool naturally heated by the Earth!

Last but not least, take in the views at Cape Reinga, the northern end of the North Island. Oh I can't wait for this ultimate family vacation. All we need to top it off is a private jet to seal the deal and well-behaved kids!

D'Espresso Cafe Gets Quirky Look

Photobucket
Really like the new design of the D'Espresso cafe on Madison Avenue. Turn it sideways and it's a library.

This is making me crave a cappuchino and a glossy mag to read!

Justin Bieber Nail Polish?

Photobucket
Yes, it's true.

Styleite.com
says the “One Less Lonely Girl” collection is the product of a collaboration between Bieber and Nicole. The first six shades will be sold exclusively at Walmart (TACKY!) during the holidays, while eight more will be rolled out in January. The polish will eventually be available at Target, Sears and Ulta (??) in February.

Okay, this is weird but I do know it'll be popular and all the tweens will be painting their fingers, toes and walls with this stuff.
