Apple iPad Unveiled. Mass Hysteria For A Minute?

Photobucket
The Apple iPad launched today. Steve Jobs (in a hideous looking shirt) talked about the iPad and its features. It can display full Web pages and has a touch-screen keyboard that’s almost full size.
The iPad supports Wi-Fi communications and runs the more than 140,000 applications already available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

It is “so much more intimate than a laptop, so much more capable than a smartphone,” Jobs said. The device, which has a 9.7-inch (25-centimeter) screen, is half an inch thick and weighs 1.5 pounds (0.7 kilograms), he said.

Price is $5o0. Great, but can it do the laundry? This thing looks really thin, wouldn't it be easy t lose among a pile of papers? I'm such a sucker for new gadgets...I want one!

What celebs got at the Boom Boom Room Baby Gifting Suite

I wanted to share some pics of Joely Fisher and Nancy O'Dell at last weekend's Boom Boom Room Baby Gifting Suite. They snagged some eco-friendly totes from Dandelion Earth Friendly Goods. Read the review here at Mogul Baby.

Nancy is also holding Dandelion's spoons. The kids use these everyday.

Stella enters Into the world of Alice In Wonderland

Photobucket
Now that Alice in Wonderland will be coming out, you'll be seeing a lot of Alice themes in the stores.

Elle UK reports: Stella McCartney, has teamed up with Disney to design a collection of Alice-themed jewellery - think rabbits, Mad Hatter's hats and hearts and spades. The Brit designer has created a limited edition necklace and bracelet, both of which will hit her stores at the end of this month.

Stella's jewelry might look kind of cool but not sure if I want to wear high hats. Also, I used to like Johnny Depp when he was in small indie films. Am I the only one that thinks he's voyage into blockbuster territory a waste? Those Pirates of Caribbean movies are the worst films ever!

The Limelight Marketplace Will Surely Be A Unique Looking Mall

Photobucket
When I found out that Manhattan's landmark "Limelight" was going to be turned into a mall, I was flabbergasted. This was a place that I used to go dancing! Now this church is going to house a lot of stores.

Set to be open in March 2010, here is the description:

"The brainchild of fashion retailer Jack Menashe, this historic 163-year-old venue has been transformed into a three-story “festival of shops,” with over 60 vendors featuring a veritable “who’s who” of fashion, beauty, art, and foodie retailers. An inimitable shopping destination, Limelight Marketplace houses an exceptional scope of retailers where uptown merges with downtown, and street meets luxury. A one of a kind space designed for consumers to explore and enjoy the most compelling aspects of Manhattan, all under one historic roof."

One thing for sure, I do plan to visit and reminisce!

Snap of the Day: Victoria and the boys in L.A.

Photobucket
Here's a recent snap of Victoria Beckham walking with her boys Cruz, Brooklyn and Romeo. It would be good if the kids were wearing Gap clothes since the store can be seen in the background. I'm also envious that it looks really warm there in L.A., whereas I'm freezing my tush off!
