Even moguls need a break

Photobucket
I'm on a blogging break. It's the end of August and right now I feel burnt out! I also want to decide whether I should go back to writing personal stories again and mixing it up with the pop culture stuff I like. Motherhood has certainly made me exhausted with the sleep deprivation and the juggling of two little tots. Will be back the day after Labor Day so put that alarm on your Google calendar.

How I can fit Anna Wintour on Letterman and breastfeeding in the same post

I didn't watch David Letterman last night but grateful of YouTube! I always wanted to hear Anna Wintour speak. Instead of watching TV, I was breastfeeding the baby to sleep. I thought I would have stopped nursing by now but I am planning to nurse her until she turns one in October. I'm actually proud I've come this far and grateful I've saved money on milk formula!

Here's Anna Wintour not moving at all during the interview. She does actually manage to lift a side of her lip to smile. Imagine her breastfeeding? Sorry for giving you a weird image.

Project Runway clip and a Heidi Klum doll

Last night I had Project Runway on while I was online writing a story about Heidi Klum and Twittering.

First of all, can you say awful? You have Heidi and Lindsay Lohan laughing behind their cards at the poor girl. Then Michael Kors describes the outfit as a "disco soccerball". What was the contestant thinking?!

(Source: Project Rungay)

For little girls and adult fans, there's a Heidi Klum Barbie doll coming out in September!
Photobucket
Not only is this doll adorned with the dress the Project Runway host wore to the 12th Annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, it is also wearing an engagement ring! The “painted-on” matching bra and panty set decorated with the Victoria Secret logo is another touch. It's $45 and unfortunately doesn't say Auf Wiedersehen. Hmmm...I think they should make a Seal doll too to go with this.

This is when having a stroller sucks

Photobucket
Me and the hub are planning to run around NYC and eat at yummy eateries. We have two kids that we'll be toting along. How on earth are we going to sit in bar/restaurants if I can't even bring strollers in some places?

Harpers Bazaar brings designers to Sesame Street (puppet fights erupted during the shoot)

I used to watch Sesame Street as a kid so to see the set on video is kind of cool. Imagine being there? Now that must be really surreal!

My review of Liv Dolls

Photobucket
Introducing the Liv dolls - Daniela, Sophie, Katie and Alexis. These four friends were designed to live the teenage lifestyle. I received Daniela (the one with the bangs), a girl who takes her singing career and dance lessons extremely seriously. In the press release it's described that Daniela performs at the local coffee shop, school dances, and even the neighborhood retirement home. On the box, she's DJing and playing the guitar. There's no sign of old people dolls in any of the photos. That said, this girl likes to wear wigs! In fact, each doll comes with fashion accessories, two wigs and an online access code to livworld.com.

While Katie (in blue hat) is just a skateboarder, Alexis (far left) wants to launch her own fashion line and Sophie (blonde hair) wants to be a celebrity stylist.

These teenage fashion dolls are targeted for girls aged six to ten. I think Daniela is an attractive doll and can see it be appealing to young girls. Each doll is $19.99, so reasonably priced. I'm going to save mine for when my daughter is old enough to play with it. In all, a thumbs up.

Pop Links

Last night I watched a marathon of Keeping up with the Kardashians as well as the premiere of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. Don't ask me why! It was stuck on the E! channel and I was so damn tired to change it. I have never really watched this show but here is my opinion. Why do the girls all have that valley girl ditzy voice? Do they really talk like that? I'm not being harsh but they all seem very flighty.

Dancing with the Stars is back on and I only recognize half of the 16 celebrities involved.

Jessica Simpson rumored to be pushed to do American Idol by her dad.

White Chicks 2 being filmed. Do we need another?

Photo Pick: I like that kids can go out in pajamas to Starbucks. I mean, even though Starbucks is on every street and I have a love-hate relationship with them, you don't have to dress up to go there.

Ordering this bookshelf to keep books organized

I've been looking for a bookshelf for ages and finally found something that might be cool. I'll be reviewing this Sling Book Shelf from allchildrensfurniture.com on Mogul Baby soon. The online store sells other things too like bedding, toys and all kinds of kids furniture.

Does Nicole Richie have a right to do a maternity line?

Nicole Richie has teamed up with Pea In A Pod to create a maternity line. Have the BOHO chic look while being preggars. Just because someone is a celebrity mom, can they just create a children's clothing line or make maternity clothes at a drop of a hat (or publicist's phone call)?
Photobucket
I'm petite so the outfit below would make me look like I was carrying five babies!
Photobucket
Pea In A Pod is not really that expensive. It's not like you're paying $1000 for designer pants. What was the fashion world like without celebrity parents?

Becoming a mom is hot in Hollywood! Have a baby? Get a reality show and a fashion label!

Product Pick of the day: Numi Baby Gate

I just read on Ohdeedoh about this Numi baby gate. We only have one in the house and since we have four levels, we need like...three more! This is only around $117 and is sold at the UK store Tesco. Now having lived in London where I've been to a Tesco, I'm quite surprised since it looks a little more expensive in the photo (Pss..Tesco is not considered a glamorous supermarket).

Rachel Zoe premieres soon...I DIE!

Last year I followed the Rachel Zoe project while painstakingly learning to breastfeed my daughter. I became a fan (as well as a pro on nursing pads)! Love the clothes and the fashion plus the drammma.

The show premieres on Aug. 24. Here's the trailer.

These women want to be a blur in the SATC movie

It must be fun to want to be in a movie. You stand around on line hoping to be picked. You eye each other's outfits. This is called good promotions, not like Sex and the City needs any publicity.
