My Baby Can Put A Book In His Mouth

For some great reason, readers and advertisers have been sending me stuff. (I swear I haven't asked for anything!) The latest item sent to me is a book called:

Reading with Babies, Toddlers, and Twos (Susan Straub & KJ Dell'Antonia)

It's basically a guide to choosing and reading books with your child. I think reading is very important and the earlier you start, the better. In fact, just the other day I read Baby Mogul the contents of the Fruit and Fibre cereal box. He was very intrigued.

In this book, I did find it helpful to discover new and interesting titles that I've never heard of before. For example, "The Princess and the Potty", "First Book of Sushi", and "Chicken Bedtime is Really Early". TOILET, FOOD, and BED...the importance of everyday life!

Included throughout the book are tips too. The one I liked best was "looking for postcards (like the freebies marketing companies put near bathrooms in restaurants and bookstores) that your baby might like and carry them around with you so that she always has something new to gaze at."

No problem! I always love to take these postcards. I've been taking them for years, even when I thought they weren't free (Shhh...). Anyway, Reading With Babies, Toddlers, and Twos would make a nice gift to place in a gift basket for a new mom.

You can order it here.

Oh, and feel free to comment on how cute my baby is. Can you remember what baby books you used to have?
